Takayuki Morita became President and CEO of NEC in April 2021. Under the Mid-term Management Plan 2025 announced that same year, he spearheaded corporate transformation driven by both strategy and culture, contributing to the enhancement of corporate value through the achievement of all financial targets. Starting in 2026, to realize the NEC Group’s Purpose of creating social value, he began executing the Mid-term Management Plan 2030 under the vision of “Empower Humanity: Delivering Innovation and Peace of Mind.” With AI and cybersecurity at the core, he is driving business growth in both IT services and social infrastructure, thereby accelerating further corporate transformation.
Prior to becoming President, he served as CFO from 2018, directing reforms to the revenue structure. Additionally, he supported growth strategies from a financial perspective through M&A in growth areas such as digital government and digital finance. During his more than four-decade career at NEC, he has been involved in global business operations for an extended period, including six years working in the United States and seven years as head of overseas operations starting in 2011. He has also led numerous business portfolio transformations, including M&A, leading the restructuring of the semiconductor business, the establishment of a joint venture in the PC business, and the acquisition of a consulting firm.
